Arbeiten von Manfred Butzmann wurden auch in der DDR-Kunst Ausstellung „Gegenstimmen“ (Voices of Dissent) im Martin-Gropius-Bau in Berlin (2016) gezeigt. 2019 waren Werke von Butzmann auch in der Ausstellung „Zeitenwende - 30 Jahre Mauerfall“ im Kunstforum der Berliner Volksbank zu sehen. Dort 2022 auch Beteiligung an der Ausstellung „Aufbrüche. Abbrüche. Umbrüche. Kunst in Ost-Berlin 1985-1995“
